Judy Piawlock, of Peaks Island, brought her grand daughters, Brooke,5, (left) and Paige,6, to Gorham's Narragansett School for a visit. The two girls will be attending the Gorham elementary school this fall. Piawlock had not heard about the discovery of the mosquitos.

Gorham School Department custodians Diane Mercier (left) and Robyn Flint carry weeds they were removing from flower beds at Gorham's Narragansett School as part of the back to school clean-up. They had not noticed any mosquitos while working in the gardens.

Greg Day watches his daughter, Kylie Lagasse, 12, hit golf balls while practicing at athletic fields at Gorham's Village Elementary School. Upon hearing of the mosquito discovery, Day commented that its a little concerning, but I'm not pushing the panic button.

Henry Wickham was walking his dog, Bernard, on a path near the athletic fields at Gorham's Village Elementary School when he was informed of the mosquito find.
