Reports show the fire started at 8 P.M. last night when owner, Amy Maddox, was away, and only her mini-poodle, Penny, was in the house. The cannine was saved by Lt. Matthew Gilbert, when he opened the front door and saw the shivering dog peeking out from under a table, according to Deputy Chief James Wilson. Preliminary possible cause was electrical, according to state investigator Dan Marshall.
