SUCCESS: Madison High School student Lannie Howes of Athens was recognized by the Make a Wish Maine organization with the Brendan Batson award for her success in raising funds to help children with medical needs on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013. Batson, of Fairfield was also a major fundraiser before he died while training on a bicycle for the organization. In back is his mother Yvonne Batson and brother Nathanael.
