Gordon Chibroski / Staff Photographer: Tuesday, February 26, 2013. James Conti of Portland enjoys his electric glider on the Eastern Prom before the storm hits us tomorrow. The mild, sunny weather coupled with the soft snow for a landing was the perfect combination for flying, according to Conti, who has been flying gliders for 20 years and been a member of the Brunswick based Downeast Soaring Club for almost as many. Here, he launches his Speedy glider into the air with the folding prop spinning to get it to climb to about 800 feet
