Five loggerhead sea turtles to be released from UNE's Marine Animal Rehabitation Center

Wednesday, April 4, 2013...Sarah Lucchese, an animal care tech at UNE's Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center, lifts a young loggerhead sea turtle out of its pen so that it could be tagged before it's upcoming return to the sea after a winter of rehabilitation at the Biddeford school.

Wednesday, April 3, 2013...Ashley Simpson (right), senior animal care lab tech at UNE's Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center, uses a scanner to make sure a chip she had just inserted in a loggerhead sea turtle's fin was reading properly. The rehab center will be sending 5 of the turtles to the New England Aquarium in Boston.  At left is animal care tech Sarah Lucchese.
